A new approach...

I decided today to modify my approach to my marathon preparation.  I believe that I've been working out too much; not giving my muscles time to rid themselves of the breakdown products of exercise.  So I think what I will do is for the time being I will limit my running to my 7 mile hill work on Mondays and my long slow run on the C&O Towpath on Fridays.  In the coming weeks I want to increase my long, slow mileage to eventually reach 22 miles on September 17th. then back off to rest for the race.  I think I'll limit myself to a walk on Wednesdays and some time on the bike on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with Saturdays and Sundays off to rest.  I might do a light upper body workout on the total gym on Wednesdays and Saturdays as well.  Whatcha think?
I have a friend of mine who has an "affinity" for snakes and hawks.  Funny, lately I've been seeing a remarkable number of hawks, and today I saw a 4-5' rattlesnake on the Skyline Drive. (She was doing just fine!)  She was sprawled almost all the way across the left lane as I approached in the right, northbound lane.  I know this is a message for me, these things always are.  How do you decipher the proper action, when the action involves others?  I am able to discern many actions through the aid of my spirit helpers, but what if others apparently see things differently?  I guess we all must follow our own path and let others do the same.  Interesting.
I imagine mention of "spirit helpers" may have raised some eyebrows.  I believe somewhere prior to this I made mention of my interest in practicing shamanism.  Suffice to say I find this endeavor highly satisfying.  I really don't have time right now to speak on this in any length, so I will say soon I will properly address the subject.  Till then, be content in all things.
